Sick Of It All - Wake the Sleeping Dragon! album cover

Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: SICK OF IT ALL; signed via Century Media Records, hailing from the United States of America - performing Hardcore Punk, on their 12th album entitled: "Wake The Sleeping Dragon!" (released 2nd November, 2018).

Since formation in 1986; the quintet in question have 12 albums in their discography so far, I am introduced to their 12th album entitled: "Wake The Sleeping Dragon!". 17 tracks ranging at around 29:38; SICK OF IT ALL arrange an intricately designed formula of hard-hitting Hardcore Punk developments. "Inner Vision" begins the record; conveying in boisterously bouncy chaos, crunchy mayhem and meticulous rhythms that will make anyone break chairs over other chairs - all concretely gritty stuff so far. All songs are less than 3 minutes long, and that is typical for this sub-genre... amped up with adrenaline; energetic electricity, amalgamated with crushingly composed relentlessness. "That Crazy White Boy Shit" captivates with catchy grooves, diligent creativity and all round rampaging speediness that stampedes with variety.

Consisting of Lou Koller on vocals; the front man demonstrates consistently clean pipes with profusely robust rawness, roughed up with vehement skill. "The Snake (Break Free)" distributes complexly constructive dexterity from guitarist Pete Koller, efficiently fabricating flamboyant firepower - converged with hardened hymns of heavily primitive maliciousness. The DROPKICK MURPHY-inspired singalong "Bull's Anthem" features chimes from guests & friends: Chuck Regan & Tim McIlrath; reminding me of a pub song, rushed with solid slabs that provide progressively technical persistency while battering with hammering audibility from bassist Craig Setari - embellished on fluidly polished sound production expertise, culminated with rapidly swift nimbleness and razor-sharp specialties. "Robert Moses Was A Racist" excels with a comically formulaic invention, contrasted with a grandiose manifestation of wild thunder and blistering finesse.

"Self Important Shithead" is a 0:58 interlude (well, I think they are all interludes) in which races with maddening velocity, showcasing pummeling pounder's Armand Majidi punchy drumming stability in the titanic stomper "To The Wolves". "Always With Us" experiments with enlighteningly fuelled melodies with elegantly hostile components in which utilizes versatile viciousness; if you like your music with organic substances, extreme aggression cross-overed with a side of thrashy punkness - this here band will fix you up with jumpy salubriousness in no time. The titular track attributes with infectious injections of distinguished aesthetics, while "2+2" adds meaty hooks that pump the muscles in a barraged frenzy of impactfully sonic systematics - SICK OF IT ALL excitingly exceeded all original expectations so far.

"Beef Between Vegans" slams with riveting severity; transitioned with tongue-in-cheek revolutions that creates diversely dynamic characteristics that thump with power, as the band allowed themselves greater lyrical freedom and exploit fun truths that they seemingly express themselves in a brilliantly classy fashion. "Hardcore Horseshoe" is a funny one, still frolicking with agility and aggressive tendencies for all to unleash blind rage onto. Chugging and galloping with chaotic mayhem in mind; "Mental Furlough" charges with barbaric assaults, adapted and engaged on furiously extreme compassion. There is a borderline foundation of broaching subjects such as their musical heroes BAD BRAINS; narcissism on the wonderful world of social media (insert relatable sarcastic pun here) being on the road and much more.

"Deep State" collectively details dominating efficaciousness, effectively uniting unprecedented ripping and proficiently rambunctious ramifications that haste with strong virtuoso of artistic excellence. "Bad Hombres" supplies mid-tempo grooves and chunky breakdowns, as "Work The System" promptly breaks barriers with a a borderline foundation of seemingly subjugated malice. Overall concluding "Wake The Sleeping Dragon!" with the epic finale track: "The New Slavery"; I discovered a band who certainly outdone themselves with this one, SICK OF IT ALL I think earned themselves a new fan too - good shit!
