Sporting the true spirit of nowadays Djent and Progressive Metal music REFLECTIONS rise from the ashes of their first debut album "The Fantasy Effect" and deliver their best record yet, "Exi(s)t". Now when I first came across this band back in late 2012 I was surprised as to how a band clearly a part of a circle of musicians who perform very similar sounding stuff could sound so out of place and original. I remember so well how when I listened to "... And Found" from their debut and had to pull my hair out due to how consistent and pure it sounds, not only because of the heavy riffs, amazing solos and the overall spirit, but because it didn't need to depend on any extra raw additives to show you how real musicians can fuck you up... in the good way.

"Exi(s)t" opens up like most similar records today with melodies and bludgeoning breakdowns to get you excited for what's to come on the initial track "Exit" and continues with the mind blowing "Delirium", where 3 minutes of brain-piercing bullets from angry guitars and drums attempt to target you and kill you dead in your tracks. "My Cancer", a personal favorite from the album comes off a typical to other songs on the album, but ends up showing the band's full capabilities as modern Metal musicians. Etc... the album continues with the same formula, only making the album better with a higher replay value, and I personally think that is what new records now require, a high replay value, to keep people coming back and not kill the memory of the release in replacement for another damn record in your dusty computer folder.

Just buy this album before I run out of words to describe it. I listened to so much Djent last month and I am so proud to see bands like REFLECTIONS not sounding boring and repetitive. On the contrary, these fuckers are one of the most atypical bands and they will evolve and ride alongside other giants in their genre circle like PERIPHERY. "Exi(s)t" is a highly recommended album for fans of Progressive Metalcore.
