Argentinian singer Santiago Ramonda originally started as a guitarist, then became a singer and he developed his skill though practise and also self knowledge.but he also received valuable advice & guidance from some experts including Ivan Sencion, although Santiago's growth has been largely self directed. In 2020 Santiago caught the attention of some melodic rock musicians with his cover of Joe Lynn Turner's “Prelude/Endlessly” which he released on his You Tube Channel in 2020. One of those musicians was Stuart Smith (Heaven & Earth) who has a long standing relationship with Frontiers.Storm Warning released their S/T album in 2023 in which Ramonda is lead singer which caught the attention of the Melodic Rock scene.  Under the direction Serafino Perugino Frontiers president Santiago Ramonda brings us another album of melodic rock sounds.

“The Walls Are Crumbling Down”  is a solid title track which is full of big guitars with Santiago flexing his vocal chords. The album stays in that AOR & Melodic Rock zone, “Don’t Look For Love” is huge musically & vocally with a big powerful chorus & has a huge melody with some great guitar riffs & runs from Suraz Sun.Although most of the tracks on this album are solid tracks, there is a few in the first half of this album which are not that memorable like the opening track “Under The Moonlight” and “Blue Heart Of Stone” don’t get me wrong there is some great vocals with some blazing guitar tones, but for me the songs didn't wow me.”Without Love”  track 6 which brings us into the second half of the album is a stronger track with great power and melodic energy, with the momentum carrying on with the more faster stronger melody of “Voltage Heart”  with some great hard attacking rhythm blended with superb guitars.”Gone” has an edgier melody which allows Santiago Ramonda to let fly with some superb powerful vocals.”Bad Girl” is another great track which at times in Ramonda’s voice the tones reminds me of David Coverdale, the track flows effortlessly with a distinct 80’s feel, which the same can be said for the next track ”The One To Blame” which is a superb melodic rock track of a nostalgic feel. The album ends with with strong momentum with “The Worlds Gone Crazy”  has a strong vocal delivery matched with some blazing guitar work.

This is a solid release which showcases Santiago Ramonda’s vocal abilities and he certainly has a huge future and on the whole “The Walls Are Crumbling Down” is a good starting point to build the foundations for a successful musical career. For me the first half of the album was hit and miss with a couple of filler tracks which were just ok,but the second part of the album was a vast improvement. It was like a football game of two halves with the team coming from behind to win! The album has Frontiers written all over it with the big songs and big production.A worthwhile  listen if AOR and Melodic Rock is your thing.
