Odd Senses

There are many times I am trying really hard to understand a band - and a musical genre in general - but I seem to fail. Have I become so ignorant? Have I lost the true meaning of modern music? Or has the modern music lost its meaning?
Setting off with their 2003 demo, PSYOPUS quickly managed to sign a contract and release their debut full-length work in 2004 through Blackmarket Activities. Since then they released one more album and now, in 2009 their third full-length album is here to offer some... rather weird Metal I have to admit.
I am really sorry, but I just can't seem to find any sense in such bands. You know, the ones that supposedly mixing Grindcore with Mathcore and sound like MESHUGGAH on LSD. Chaotic song structures with blasts out of the blue and irritating guitar melodies are what Odd Senses contains. It seems that this modern trend to make everything incredibly fast and technical has made everyone forget that music has to remain music above all.
I am really going to stop here since this album has caused me a headache! Am I missing a genius here? I guess not...
