Pink Cream 69 - In10sity album cover

Holly stinging jellyfish! Was that a surprise or what? PINK CREAM 69 exist for 20 years yet they still manage to sound so fresh in my ears! These German dudes... no correct that this is a multinational team based in Germany (apart the TRUE German folks they include a Greek drummer a red / white / blue born bassist and an Englishman singer), have really manage to see both sides of the rope in their career thought the last decade they have manage slowly to reach the huge standards (and fame) they have set with their first two albums.
I am a fan of the band. I worshiped their first two albums (the self titled debut and One Size Fits All) , pretty much liked their third one (Games People Play), disliked their turn to more alternative patters with heir fourth release (Change) and praised their return with albums such as Electrified and Sonic Dynamite. However their previous album Thunderdome was an average one. In an attempt to modernize their sound and adopt a more rock than rather metal feel they crafted a moody album that simply didn't fit their profile.
Yet here they return once again with a great album. In10sity at first site strikes you with the similarities of the front cover with the bands first two albums. It's more than obvious that the band does once again a turn in their career to a sound more familiar to their fans. Modern, heavy yet melodic and catchy as hell at the same time! Tunes like Children Of The Dawn and Out Of This World are really heavy while themes such as Crossfire are once again modern but closer to the roots of the band. In the end however one song stands strong above all the rest - the fourth song in the album I'm Not Afraid is by far the best one in In10sity bringing in mind the good old days.
Bottom line is that the band after 20 years seems to have what it takes to keep up releasing really good albums. Fans of melodic rock should definitely give them again a chance.
