Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: ORODRUIN; signed via Cruz Del Sur Music, hailing from the United States of America - performing Doom Metal, on their 2nd album entitled: "Ruins Of Eternity" (released 25.10.2019).

Since formation in 1998; the trio in question have 4 Demos, 1 Split; 1 Compilation, 1 EP & 2 albums in their discography so far...I am introduced to their 2nd album entitled: "Ruins Of Eternity". 9 tracks ranging at around 47:12; ORODRUIN arrange an intricately designed formula of heavy-hitting Doom Metal developments. "Forsaken" begins the record; immediately bringing an influential aesthetic of old-school BLACK SABBATH manifestations, using their own style with uniquely versatile vehemence & amplified adrenaline. Conveying boistrously bouncy hooks, crunchy distortion & groovy executions while revolved around a barraged frenzy of flamboyantly composed finesse. Attributing captivating songwriting ramifications, potently vibrant quintessentials & quirky snappiness that pursuits with progressively predegious technicalities.

Consisting of Mike Puleo on drums/vocals/bass; the frontman excels with a profusely robust rotation of audible instrumental injections; infectiously contrasting bass thumpiness, raspy yet clean but high-pitched lungs with pipes of rawly rough fabrications & a stompy strike of pumelling drum hammering...battering into a chunky slab of jumpy solidities. "Man Of Peace" articulates in a fashionable Tony Iommi flair, as Nick Tydelski showcases thunderously blistering doom-laden rhythms with ritualistic yet punchline foundations of borderline anthemic assaults. "Grave Illusion" consistently creates dynamically dextrous distinctions from 2nd guitarist John Gallo; implementing killer keyboard elements as well as riveting riffs, soncially seamless solos & organically swift substance - nimble virtuosity & rapid succession.

Fusing an embellishment of experimental gnarliness; concrete fluidity, and gritty complexities & an embodiment of electrifying firepower – "Letter Of Life's Regret" examines deeper into a gripping landscape of lacerating musicianship & primitively momentous shreds that rip with roaring precision while juxtaposed with rambunctiously volatile remedies...which showcases meticulous yet monstrously meaty patterns - followed by hybrid dimensions. Flowing into immersive ballad-y territory; transistioned with traditional yet trailblazing melodies that portray soaring harmonies, hardened chugs fuelled into a galloping vibe with rich styles - especially in "War On The World". Balancing tempo shifts with speedily orthodox nuances from aforementioned BLACK SABBATH legend, forging a grizzly grandure of pulsating plods & salubriously melancholic overarchs that stampede with persistent variety.

"Into The Light Of The Sun" subjugates with more monkier yet mellifluous polyphonics; engaged in euphonic energy, elegantly exquisite soundscapes & significant sound production originalities make remarkably splendid yet memorability results. "Voice In The Dark" shares sublime majesty of oozing sharp tones; scattered with wildly rushing skill, while dosed with hints of atmosphere & ambient heaviness. "Hell Frozen Over" starts off with a slow tone while jarring rumbling takes over; layered with killer kicks, ruthless pandemonium & upbeat strums that surround with refreshing riffs to panning solos which are full of panache - tightened into an epicly venomous slab of rocking stability. Overall concluding the record with the titular track itself; I am compelled to say that ORODRUIN certainly outdone themselves with this one.

Bottom line; "Ruins Of Eternity" is a groundbreaking album, and definitely deserves a listen... a great discovery that will surprise you as it did me. If you like early; old-school Heavy/Doom Metal in the same, similar vein/characteristic to that of BLACK SABBATH with a modernized twist - ORODRUIN fulfill with talented potential on that front - an enjoyable experience that all metal maniacs should relish. Check it out!
