Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: OLYMP; unsigned/independent, hailing from the glory of Germany - performing Heavy Metal, on their debut self-titled EP. (Released February 28th, 2019).

Since formation in 2018; the quartet in question have only this here self-titled EP in their discography so far. 4 tracks ranging at around 23:41; OLYMP arrange an intricately designed formula of hard-hitting Heavy Metal developments. "Lightning Eater" begins the EP; conveying amplified adrenaline, boistrously bounces grooves & catchy crunchiness in which ultilizes uniquely versatile vehemence. Flamboyantly fabricating gnarly instrumentation; as it hastily chugs into a barraged frenzy of frolicking firepower & chunky hooks that manifests meticulous musicianship with melodious harmonies, implementing crystal clear distortion fuelled into a dizzying foundation of borderline fuzziness - crafting an energetic dose of relentlessly riveting riffs that quintessentially rocket with excelling execution.

Consisting of Sebastian Tölle on guitars/lead vocals; the frontman demonstrates blistering dexterity, creating dynamically hyrid dimensions with rapidly swift nimbleness & potently quirky momentum. Venomously yelling throaty yet jarring singing with rawly rough substance, organically primitive pipes of profusely robust ramification. Enforcing high-pitched lungs, flaired with a raspy aesthetic while shredding with ripping roars that thunder with seamlessly sonic stability. "Fire And Fury" embellishes on experimental finesse from Armin Feigl also on guitar; riffing with virtuosic precision, speedy rhythms & monstrously meaty weight. Revolved with solid punk culminations here and there, fluidly polished with a menacing vibe that transistions jumpy remedies & while stampeding with traditionally subtle subjugation of prestigiously wildly rushing pursuits for good measure.

"Shut Down" starts off with a scattering riff; juxtaposed with pulsating thumpiness from audible bassist André Möbius (also on backing vocals) contrasting consistently driven punchline tempos, plodding with rambunctious pummelling & vintage variety. Speaking of pounding; Dominik Rankl on the battering drums hammers with steely velocity, resulting in a constructively distinguished distinction of galloping flows that portrays proficient stomps & quaking patterns striking with weighty slabs of pumping iron. Immersively harnessing deadly detail, diligent yet razor-sharp prominence & thick vibrations that rumble with mighty perseverence - while providing songwriting memorability that shines with singalong chorus' that are rather splendid & remarkably enjoyable.

Overall concluding "Olymp" with the 7:13 finale: "The Messanger"; distilling atmospheric blends of old-school ambiency, and mid-paced Heavy Metal expertise...I am compelled to say that OLYMP certainly have outdone themselves for a debut. Modernizing psychedelic moods, in an utmost upbeat sensation makes for a potentially talented ritual of surging mayhem...will have you rocking in no time.
