Odd Even are are an alternative metal post grunge band. According to their record label founding members E.T. And Weed are in fact infamous that the government had been hiding for years in #Hangar 3 on the grounds of Area 51! but then escaped ! Their first album “Space Juice” in 2020,then their 2^nd album “Dance Of The Dead” was released via Pavement Entertainment. In July 2021 they did a couple of headlining shows in Florida before going on tour and opening for Slaughter and LA Guns in September & October 2021.In January 2024 Odd Even signed with Eclipse Records in completing their newest album release “Darkness”.Since the release of this album they have been touring and solidifying the new line up featuring Grant Walker and Jim Chaney.

Well the bands back story is very strange I must say!!! A couple of lunatics LOL who knows???Personally I do not like Grunge at all though in the early 90's although it was a break through musically turning music on it's head,it destroyed the music scene I love and still love. Thankfully there has been a revival of sorts!”First Encounter” the first track lyrically is about drugs,which doesn't do it for me I'm afraid,full of meaty riffs and hooks with an Alice In Chains & Sound Garden etc. vibe,but lyrically not for me. The sound of grunge lives on with this band the tracks full of fuzzy,distorted guitar riffs & runs “Innocent” ,”Suffering” ,”We Wanna Go” & “Free” are perfect examples of this,also the deep bass groove,along with aggressive,snarling vocals,some nice guitar solos complete that sludgy grunge sound.”Come Home” is the closest to a ballad gets on this record.”Soul” has a trippy and psychedelic feel in places mixed with aggressive vocals & melodies. The album nine tracks long concludes with “Come Home (Extended Version)” .

Well that was certainly an eye opener! Definitely did not appeal to me at all,I'm sure Odd Even are good at what they do and people out there into this style of music ,will love it,appreciate it & savour this album for what it is. but sadly I didn't. The Only positive I can say is that the guitar solos were cool.
