Hailing from Spain, NUCLEAR REVENGE have been in the scene since 2013, have released two demos and one album, previous to this release. They offer an absolutely pure old school, evil (blackened) Thrash Metal. As soon as I read the song titles, I was transported to the early 80's extreme metal scene, felt like holding a SODOM or DESTRUCTION album in my hands. "Agonic Tormentor" opens up the album and I thought "this sounds like a vinyl rip", even the sound brings you back to that time when they boundaries of violence in music were being ushed further with every new release. Though the song did not stick much with me, I could appreciate the strong influence from not just a band, but from a golden era in extreme metal.

I kept listening without being much impressed till the riffing in "March of the Undead" made me start headbanging. I would say the record sort of gets much better as you adjust back in time mentally. "Proclaimed Among the Wicked" reveals some early KREATOR influences as well. I could probably mention quite a lot of bands from the past which I could find similarities with but let's not concentrate on that. The album, the style, the sound in general sound to me like a 1985 release, when Thrash/Speed Metal were still heavily influenced by Black Metal, something that would show a lot in the lyrics, song titles and album covers.

"Dust" is a great song, along with "Descending Wings of Perversion" which still have the ability to feel fresh, the guitars and bass lines are clear and the riffing is clear and aggressive, as it should. "Eyes of Revelations" has a nice bass intro and a mysterious aura right before the rawness starts over, I could also find a few hints of CELTIC FROST here, as this song has a slower pace on its second half, the feeling of the old school is pure to the end, the leads, the atmosphere, great work. The last song in the album "...From the Crypt" also possesses that evil spirit inside.

If this were 1985, I'd say this is a great album; back to 2021 it is nothing new, but it is still a good album for those who like that early sound and furious riffing of the early days, for that type of metal fan, this is a perfect album.
