Worship The Animal - The Lost Recordings

Well, I like so much album re-masters when the time is right to release them. "Worship The Animal - The Lost Recordings" is the first demo release of NILE and here is the re-mastered release. If someone has listened to the original demo, the first thing will notice is the raw production and the vocal style of Karl Sanders. The vocal style leans more to Chuck Schuldiner, although with hints taken from raw Thrash Metal.
Musically, there is a total absence of Middle Eastern melodies and the only rhythmic instrument accompanying the guitar is the bass. Although in "Mecca" you will listen to a solo that wreaks the future style of NILE. The musical carpet has influences from Death / Thrash period of "Chaos A.D." of SEPULTURA. In "Nepenthe" you will listen to some influences of MORBID ANGEL that also predicts the future of NILE.
Lyrically the demo hasn't got anything to do with Egyptian history and civilization but again is dealing battle, ancient times etc. The new production isn't so raw like in the first release, but they have succeeded to make an old school production. In some words, the production is crisper than the original. To conclude, "Worship The Animal - The Lost Recordings" is a nice re-master and the fans of NILE will enjoy it.
