Nightrider - Rock Machine album cover

NIGHTRIDER is a band from Nashua, New Hampshire, they've been around from 1980 until now, they are considered to be a Melodic Hard Rock Band. "Vanishing Point" is pretty much about how messed up the world is and how you need music to take its impurities away, I concur with the message. "Hard Driving Metal Machine" with the name and the intro, I thought this was going to be a much heavier song, it's pretty much about them doing their thing and has a message for the haters.

"Knightmare" is a song about a dark, mysterious woman that is a badass and facing what tomorrow brings, head on. "Stranger In A Strange Land" is a song I could not wait to get to because I thought It was an Ace Frehley or Leon Russell remake of which it is not but it stands right up there with them, it actually has more of a HEART feel to it and I may even like it better than the other songs of the same name. "Get Up Or Get Out" is a stand up for yourself or get lost, get in where you fit in song. "Power Of Passion" is a love song of sorts, the song has a strong seventies influence to it, it's assembled very well.

"Rockin' Down The Night" brings TED NUGENT to mind except better than most of his songs, it's a song about Rock in N Rollin. "Not About You" Is another song with somewhat of a seventies feel but also has a JUDAS PRIEST anthem influence to it. "Hard Livin" is a song about Your own demise, living hard and fast, chasing Your dreams, trying to catch up with yourself to slow yourself down. "Let Me Move Into You" is an inspiring relationship song, trying to take it to the next step.

"Open Road" is a JUDAS PRIEST fueled song with excellent guitars, the drums are strategically placed with the guitars and bass, with Rob Halford influenced vocals. "Take The Lead" actually reminds me of Ronnie James Dio, at least that's who popped in mind as soon as I laid ears on the song. "You Can't See The Sun" is a bonus track and they slowed it way down with this one, it questions a failed relationship of which you are still in love.

"Rock Machine" has a heavy seventies influence, tagged with a JUDAS PRIEST, Ronnie James Dio influence, it is well written and produced album.
