Nicklas Sonne is a Danish musician,vocalist & guitarist known for his powerful presence in Heavy and Progressive Metal. Beginning as a drummer,then moving on to play guitar and also becoming a singer/songwriter in various rock and metal projects,starting in 2010 with Defecto who are one of Denmark's leading Metal bands. From an early age Nicklas learned his musical skills playing along to bands such as Dream Theater and Metallica. Quickly attracting attention from the industry joining producers such as Jan Langhoff (Aqua) and Flemming Rasmussen (Metallica) on some collaborations. As well as Defecto,Nicklas is part of Aries Descendant along with Jona Weingarten (Pyramaze & Catalyst Prime) which resulted in the duo releasing a project which fuses together film music with the raw power of Heavy Metal.

“Fireline” starts this album with a full on Power Metal Assault with the tempo picking up as I venture into the 1^st chorus,crunchy guitar riffs & runs with hard hitting drums.”Route 65” is next up in the track listing is a Metal sounding track with a more mid tempo with a strong guitar,full of great guitar riffs and fret board energy a very catchy track that gets your head going.”Shadows Inbetween” is a great Modern Hard Rock track with a heavy edge & some heavy riffs which reminds me a bit like the sound of Nickelback.”A Woman's World” has strong rhythm with groove,with a very catchy sing a long chorus.”Limitless” has a great melody which chugs along at a fast pace,full of energy ,a very fiery well delivered vocal from Sonne.

”Epic Song” with acoustic guitar parts is a superb catchy commercial track with pop and folk elements.”Electric Dreams” & “Living Loud” turn the volume up to 11 once again full of heavy riffs and Heavy Metal energy fist pumping the air style Metal anthems.”Baron Of Mischief” has that heavy edge but is more of a Southern/Blues output, with a chorus which just is engraved in your brain and hours later it is still going around in my head! Track 10 “Helldivers Anthem” is Nicklas Sonne going full bore,full throttle fast,energetic with superb guitar control a Speed Metal track of excellence.”Always With Us” is a very heartfelt piano led track with an excellent vocal performance.”Overload” sees Nicklas Sonne let fly with his superb guitar skills with a great instrumental finale.

Nicklas Sonne delivers a fantastic album which shows what a talented musician and singer he is. From start to finish “Electric Dreams” is a superb album full of variety song wise with great musicianship,song writing,personality and production. I thoroughly enjoyed this album and it comes highly recommended,an album definitely not to be missed.
