A Glass Full Of karma
Nagual

NAGUAL are a Rock band from Piacenza in Italy. The released the new album "A Glass Full Of Karma" on 3rd March 2020. The new album features 8 tracks which are awesome to say the least. The band list their influences as BLACK SABBATH, DEEP PURPLE, WHITESNAKE & LED ZEPPELIN. You can hear the 70's/80's feel throughout the album in the way the music is played. It's a fine album to listen to and the songs are sung well the music played at a good pace. The new album is quite a Soft Rock themed album & it's one you could put on any time of day or night.
The album opens with the title track called "A Glass Full Of Karma" This song opens with the sound of a bottle being opened & a glass full if karma being poured. It's followed by a gentle build up on keyboard & guitar to be joined by smashing glass then the bass & vocals join. It's a fine song to open the album. Moving onto song number 3 "Above The Clouds" This song has some fine drumming points throughout and the lyrics are fine! It's one of my favourite songs from the album. It's an excellent tune. Song number 5 "Ozymandias" opens with some haunting notes and plays in gradually getting into the guitars and drums after some gentle notes to begin with the vocals are on fire! I really like this song it makes me picture being in the open air & feeling free just listening to the music in a place no one can reach. "Satori In Sonora" is song number 7 & it's quite bluesy in sound, which I like. It's a song which is of a slow gentle melodic pace & tempo. I could easily listen to this all day! Closing the album we have the song "Crucify." The closing song lasts an epic 9 minutes 37 seconds and is one of the most haunting songs on the album. The instrumentals are ace & the song is the perfect way to close the album.
Overall I have really enjoyed NAGUAL's new album. It's a great piece of musicianship & I would recommend it to anyone who likes their rock music chilled & easy to listen to. The album has a gentle theme that is great for an ambient night on the couch with the lights dimmed low. A great album by a great band. Highly recommended. I will be following the band in future musical adventures as I really like their sound.
