Metal maniacs, rejoice! I'm proud to present to you: MOTHERSHIP; signed via Ripple Music, hailing from the United States of America - performing Stoner Metal/Rock, on their 3^rd album entitled "High Strangeness" (released March 17^th, 2017).

Since formation in 2010; the quintet in question have 2 albums behind them, I'm introduced to their 3^rd deliverance "High Strangeness". 8 groovy tracks ranging at around 33:32; the quartet provides a fine slice of solid Stoner Metal/Rock excitement. The instrumental opening titular track flourishes with free-flowing guitar riffs and a psychedelic atmosphere of 70s BLACK SABBATH characteristics, right off the earphones - the songwriting sounds intricately organic with an original aesthetic of synthesized robustness. "Ride The Sun" consistently consists of a menacing sound production as powerhouse crushers Judge Smith on drums & Kyle Juett on bass/lead vocals contribute a straight-forward, fuzzy substance that's infectious and easily enlightening with a bunch of tasty riffs and hooks to keep you fully captivated. "Midnight Express" keeps the savagely well-constructed tone in check, while being proficiently harmonic - which is satisfyingly fulfilling.

"Crown Of Lies" establishes a simplistic style of vocals ranges from Kelley Juett, high-pitched complexity as well as dextrously efficient motored-riffs that keep a sinister formula of persistent dominance in check. The instrumentation is fiercely manic and dynamically deadly and is full of nodding chugs and a bone crushing formulaic of adequately crucial musicianship. "Helter Skelter" opens up with that brutal bass work and tantalizing relentless fretwork in which gets you in the mood for more salubrious melodies, these will make your head nod as well as tap your feet in a frenzy of entertaining elegance. "Eternal Trip" is another fuzzy instrumental, full of grit and authentic 70s sounds in which contributes to the sub-genres with sufficient spaciousness and guitar-only arrangements. It's a nice break from the madness that ensues in the last couple of tracks, so far...my only complaint is that this work of art is too short for stoner, at least it's repeatable though.

The penultimate "Wise Man" leaves a stunning impression which showcases crisp galloping solos and a grandiose of well implemented rawness that makes this project so enticing while having rich aroma, all members deliver a graceful performance while indulging you in a momentous discovery of brilliantly formed elements which stem from powerful melodies in contrast to a rocking good time. Concluding "High Strangeness" with the finale "Speed Dealer", which develops more speediness (no pun intended) with push and shouted out vocalizations - I am overall compelled to say that MOTHERSHIP distributed an admirable work of art that fans of the aforementioned sub-genres will appreciate, plus look at that artwork – depicting breasts, beasts & a captivating exquisiteness of unparalleled distinctions at your grasp.
