Yet again, I am honored to review another independent band that has a very bright and promising future. MOLLLUST has combined true classical music with our beloved Metal to give us a raw yet beautifully enchanting album. It can be quite difficult to bring these two worlds together without sounding commercial or artificial, yet the balance between Janika Groß's vocals and the band's metal tones has been struck. What a beautiful work.
The recording could use a few touches here and there, it sounded heavier or thicker than it needed to be. However, that was the only distraction that drew me away from time to time. I cannot wait to see what lies ahead for this band. For a rating, I would say 8 out of 10. Normally my reviews are a bit lighter hearted, but honestly, my soul is at rest from listening to this album. I hope you feel the same once you have experienced MOLLLUST for yourself. Until next time friends, live free, and stay well! Cheers!
