Handle With Care
Mirrorglass

Mirrorglass were formed in 2022,based in Cavan Ireland led by Joshua Bowles ,they made their live debut at Rockathon 2023 just after Joshua’s 17th birthday which also led to further live dates. With the band gaining momentum they released the singles “Where Will You Go” and “Lets Go back To Mine” with the band heading into the studio to record the debut album.Due to creative differences within the band which could not be resolved the recording of the album was cancelled with Joshua having a brief hiatus,he came back with a new band line up and releasing two new singles “Wasted Time” and “Ghost Town” with the new line up sounding in fine form which led to the re-recording of the debut album “Handle With Care”.
“Hey Honey!” is a catchy guitar driven opening track, with an addictive chorus which compliments the whole rock n’ roll feel of the track. The faster tempo of “Let’s Go To Mine” is a short but energy charged track,at under two minutes its a full on frenzied onslaught with some punk and early Guns N’ Roses elements to its style.”Ghost Town” is a more mid tempo feel which has solid rhythm with some chugging guitar riffs, with some great lead guitar work too.The swirling keyboard intro which kicks off the next track “Heart Of Gold” with a solid vocal is an instant likeable modern rock number which live will be no doubt a fan favourite.Solid guitar riffs start the modern punk styled “Better Off Dead” which is another solid offering which just cruises along at a steady gallop, building with more momentum towards the latter stages.”Wasted Time” is another strong track which motors along, thanks to more guitar driven riffs with a strong anthemic chorus.Next up is my favourite track on this album “Crazy Man” with heavier chugging riffs, catchy rhythm with great lyrics ,a very modern punk driven monster of a track.Mirrorglass really surprise me with “Where Will You Go” which is a piano led,a much slower ballad style track which has an Irish feel to the melody with another solid vocal by the year old 19 year old frontman.
”Secretly Admitting To Murder” the last track on the album ,is the longest track on the album, is another strong modern rock track which could easily be remembered for years to come its an epic ending to a memorable debut album. The cd version also features a radio edit of “Crazy Man” as the last track. “Handle With Care” is a great solid debut release from start to finish which i enjoyed thoroughly. An album of nine beautifully crafted tracks with modern & classic rock flavour.Mirrorglass for such a young age have all the ingredients and attributes to have a successful career, which is a joy to hear and see bands like this keeping the music scene alive.A huge recommendation buy it,listen to it and support young talent like Mirrorglass.
