MindFeels

Formed in 1994 as Dejanira, a Toto tribute band, MindFeels later evolved into an original music project. The name MindFeels pays homage to Toto's eleventh work, "Mindfields" Their first record, "XXenty" released in November 2017, celebrated over twenty years of music together. A Japanese edition followed in December. The group performed concerts in Italy, sharing the stage with Boulevard and Soul Seller, and collaborated with Michael Kratz in 2018 on the track "Dragging Me Outside" In May 2025, they contributed the new song "All Behind" to the compilation "We Still Rock... The World"
The album leads in with a musical introduction "Out Of Spin" at just over a minute long, which lays the foundations for "We Will Make It" to kick in,a track with impact thanks to the upbeat melody, keyboard presence & guitar riffs,a flowing track which has a punchy feel good chorus,a great AOR/Melodic start to this album. There is the obvious Toto influence/inspiration,which is a positive thing."Again In The Wind" is a perfect example a chilled and breezy number with some great percussion & keys, the vocals have an amazing clarity & depth, with this great guitar riff wrapped around it."Something New" is one of the singles lifted from this sophomore album,a guitar led AOR/Melodic number,i can picture this been a massive anthemic number in another decade,a great infectious track with a great guitar run to bring the track home."Here With Me" is the definite ballad on "2wo" , Davide Gilardino's vocals are very well controlled in the verses, but when the chorus hits the power and emotion is undeniable,Luca Carlomagno delivers some bluesy guitar touches and tones to give the track that fire and passion.Another track with a huge Toto influence is "The Other Side Of You" with an acoustic led guitar start, some funky bass rhythm from Roberto Barazzotto and Italo Graziana's drum work contribute to deliver a catchy west coast AOR inspired sound with a bit of funk and soul."Runaway" is another guitar driven AOR rocker sprinkled with some keyboards, more great rhythm, more great vocals, another solid track. The albums closing track is another instrumental "The Wait" mainly focussed on the guitar, with the rest of the band accompanying
"2wo" is a solid sophomore album from MindFeels, there are plenty of solid tracks to keep your musical interest, there's plenty of catchy melodies, hooks, catchy choruses with great rhythm and guitars. My only negative comment is that although it was good, the album ended on an instrumental,I would have loved to see the album closing with a track with vocals.Despite this, a great album for AOR/Melodic Rock fans.
