Midnite City from Nottingham, UK exploded onto the scene in 2017 with their self titled debut album. This fifth studio album starts with one almighty bang "Live Like Ya Mean It" which is a Hair Metal fist pumping the air anthem.It has attitude which is led by the vocals of Rob Wylde,the big gang bang backing vocals in the chorus with Miles Meakin letting fly with some killer guitar runs."Worth Fighting For" is melodic mid tempo rock track which has that positivity & feel good factor which has great melodies,lush key touches with some superb guitar work.Rob Wylde as a song writer has this amazing gift to write great songs "It's Going To Be Alright" is a perfect example of his gift, the first ballad which is full of emotion,with superb melodies that soar as the song flows,it has a killer sing a long chorus which will be a crowd pleaser .The lead single "Heaven In This Hell" has a bit of a darker feel with massive dramatic  key touches from Shawn Charvette from the off,with heavier guitar riffs,with Josh"Tabbie" Williams delivering a deep bass line,with Ryan Briggs hitting those pounding drum beats."Running Back To Your Heart" is a smooth melodic rock track with slick  production which has that Danger Danger sound,which has Midnite City in full flow with their trademark sound which has made them so popular."Lethal Dose Of Love" has an electrifying guitar led opening,which is a party rocker that just screams out to be included in the set for their upcoming tour which Rob Wylde will no doubt have the crowd eating out of his hand."Archers Song" is a brief atmospheric musical interlude courtesy of Shawn Charvette he wrote for his son Archer."Seeing Is Believing" is another power ballad which back in 88,89 would have been a smash hit everywhere a masterclass vocally and musically."No One Wins" is that break up/heartbreak track which has a AOR/Melodic feel which flows along,a nostalgic, sophisticated song with a ear worm chorus which is unforgettable.The penultimate track "Hang On Til Tomorrow" with a guitar riff chugs along,bursting into life with a keys laden chorus which draws you in instantly,another perfect example of superb songwriting,1st class production, which gives me Desmond Child influence vibes.The last track is Midnite City in all their glory,no band delivers uplifting Hair Metal/Melodic Rock better, it's a feelgood,uplifting nostalgic feeling anthemic track to end the album in style.

Five albums in and Midnite City just keep on delivering albums of the highest quality,they just keep getting better and better.
