Last Of A Dyin' Breed
Lynyrd Skynyrd

With a 40+ year career, a tragic story including the famous plain crush in 1977 (where that band lost 3 members) and endless lineup changes, LYNYRD SKYNYRD are still here and this time with "Last Of A Dyin' Breed", their 13th studio album.
This time around the band is back with a powerful production that sounds a lot more produced in an American country way than a traditional Rock procedure. Even though the album is very mixed and have a few Rocking tracks like the title track "Homegrown" that has a very modern vocal production and sounds like a fresh band doing' a Southern Rock record and not a 60 year old bunch of guys from Florida.
The whole vibe of the album is modern and fresh and it looks like the band is trying to get known with younger fans that maybe don't know "Sweet Home Alabama" or "Free Bird". And on the other hand, making a step to the American country music scene that is a huge market, all of that makes this record a very commercial one with full of catchy tunes, great ballads and an all along fun record to listen to with your girl at home or in the car on your way to work of just driving for fun.
In conclusion it is great album, a lot softer and more marketable that "Gods & Guns" from 2009 which was a heavy record, this time they went in a more commercialized path.
