“You want it true, heavy and loud? You love the 80s and you would die for pure fuckin’ Heavy Metal? Then LÖANSHARK is your band! You will find everything your metal heart is beating for within their traditional sound, that takes no prisoners”. When the bands press release makes that bold statement, you’ve got my attention…..I mean my fucking attention! Founded as a power trio in 2017 joining forces from Barcelona, Spain (Aless Oppossed, Angel Smolski) and Sardinia, Italy (Lögan Heads) and following in their fellow countrymen’s metal footsteps, HITTEN, SAVAGED, WITCHTOWER and IRON CURTAIN, the trio dug in to blaze their own trail and kick some ass and maybe take out a knee or two. “We want to maintain that “mafia” atmosphere in our work, we want it to be our identifying seal, in accordance with the name we chose for the band.” explains bassist Aless Oppossed and conveying that theme in the album cover artwork as well “we wanted that 80's movie atmosphere, something eye catchy, dangerous, exciting and sexy! So we have chosen a smoky alley as the setting, long and sexy female legs, that hide a lethal weapon behind them, and there we are, about to die.”

The bands second full length album “No Sins to Confess” was released February, 14, 2025 on RPM Reigning Phoenix Records.

Damn, no need for your morning coffee or energy drink as these boys will get your heart pumping off the charts with the surging opening tracks “Electric Shockin' Waves”, “Machine Gunner” and  “The City Goes Fast” proving they are not fucking around, compromised straight to the point, balls out hard rocking riffs paired with lighting bolt drumbeats all drawn together by the scorching vocals of Lögan Heads that are indicative of Biff Byford of SAXON but delivering in a more boisterous style. This is definitely not a one-trick pony album as the remaining seven songs all provide a diverse and distinct style sprinkled throughout with “Backstabber” and “Wet n’ Wild” hitting the fast track with battering ram riffs that slap you in the face like a jilted ex-lover and paced wonderfully by the razor sharp rhythm section. “Midnight Shooter” is bruising and edgy delivering a darkened, muscular hard rocking balls out riff taking us out of the minivan into a Porsche with the top down, wind in our hair and some bad intentions. “Open Fire” covers the 1984 song by cult favorite MARSEILLE with a modern twist and attitude explained by Heads “We wanted to record a cover of a song that can fit perfectly among our songs, and “Open Fire” was the best candidate in terms of riffing and lyrics.” Ending with a down and dirty hardcore headbanger “Heavy Metal Addicts” a smash mouth rocker with accelerated chops and galloping, electrifying riffs.

Well we definitely can’t get LOANSHARK for false advertisement, it’s loud, fast, crude, hard as old-school and like a flashback into the early 80s metal scene that will have headbangers….well, banging heads.
