LO-PAN is a four piece Rock Band from Columbus, Ohio. "Go West" begins with droning, palm muted guitar and with soaring vocals. It has a very epic feel, like good old fashion Rock 'N Roll. Harmony is ever present and rather enjoyable. The beat picks up, with very high energy. This song is just straight up rock and I cannot get enough of it. "Sink or Swim" starts out with a very heavy feel, and again very epic. It sounds like something a surfer would tear up a wave to. The soaring vocals are an ever present force, unyielding, I feel like it's kind of the "LO-PAN Signature" Leading to the end of the song, the palm muted guitar makes for a sort of Djent feel.

"Long Live The King" certainly feels like royalty. The guitar riff writing is quite impressive. They have a distinct sound, and don't stray much from it. However, you know each track for its own merits. Jamming guitar and more soaring vocals bring us to the end of this track. "Alexis" is a much softer guitar with no distortion. The vocals at the beginning are great as Jeff Martin really shows his chops. A guitar solo in the middle of the song soars on, showcasing Chris Thompson's guitar chops. Several sharp bends litter the second half of the track. This track sounds like a lot of old school influence. More of Jeff Martin's amazing vocal chops to lead the song out. "Pathfinder" has a much different distortion sounds on this track. This is a very catchy song, I defy you to not nod your head to the beat. The beginning gives way to the LO-PAN I've come to expect. As a bass player, I am enjoying Skot Thompson's presence in this track. The energy picks up halfway through the track, with a soulful guitar solo with phaser effect to electrify you before the outro. The energy kicks up even more for the ending with echoing harmonies. There is a very metal feel for the last couple of minutes. Overall, I enjoyed the album very much!
