Kickin Valentina formed in 2013 quickly got attention in the US and abroad. October 2013 they released their self titled EP on a Independent record label Highway 9 Records based in Atlanta In 2015 they signed for Danish based label Mighty Music has have released three full length albums “Super Atomic”, ”Imaginary Creatures”, ”Revenge Of Rock” and an EP “Chaos In Copenhagen” to rave reviews around the world. They have supported the likes of Skid Row, Doro and Buckcherry around the world as well as several festival appearances, headline tours in the US and Europe and are renowned for their high energy, no nonsense rock n roll shows. With a three year gap since album number “Revenge Of Rock” due to a busy touring schedule comes the much anticipated album number four “Star Spangled Fist Fight”.

“Gettin Off” is the first track, its hard and heavy ,great guitar riffs,heavy  drum lines with that great dirty bass line from Chris Taylor with growling vocals from D K Revelle. It hits you in the face like a knock out punch superb start to this album. ”Dirty Rhythm” the third single from this album just carries on in that same vain its sleazy, unapologetic kick ass rock n' roll I particularly like the break near the end of the track with that bass line and vocals before they bring the track home sounds so cool. ”Fire Back” is a song which you stick your middle finger to been stabbed in the back or been hard done by where revenge is guaranteed its rebellious and has attitude. ”Man On A Mission” gives you another great heavy rock n roll song to bang your head to and sing along chorus .”Turn Me Loose” , “Died Laughing” and “Amsterdam” give that LA sunset strip Faster Pussycat, LA Guns, Guns N' Roses the sleaze era but have a more modern feel and sound much better. ”Takin A Ride” the first single from this album is superb rock n' roll anthem the vocals ,Heber's riffs and solo are well delivered the backbone of the track. ”Ride Or Die” the second single is brilliant ,sing along track slightly different vocally but still D K delivers a great song gritty guitar riffs, Jimmy Berdines drumming playing hard throughout this album but more so on this track I feel.  ”Star Spangled Fist Fight” the title track closes the album with that same attitude ,sleaze and rock n' roll fans around the world love from this band.

“Star Spangled Fist Fight” is a high spirited album packed with unapologetic rock n' roll. Its ten tracks of pure brilliance and quality which put other more established bands to shame who should be looking over their shoulders right now. Kickin Valentina have made an absolutely fantastic album it's a classic rock n' roll album for 2024, they deserve to do very well with it. This will be added to my collection no hesitation. One of the albums of the year no question. Check them out on tour they never disappoint.
