In the album HOT AND DANGEROUS put together by guitarist JUSTIN LARNER you are going to be pleased to find an album full of plenty of rock sounds that are going to feed that inner need to jam within you. Featuring a whole plethora of artists this album holds many different styles of rock within itself, but does it in a way that doesn't make it seem all over the place. Heavy just where it needs to be heavy, but displaying melodies just where it needs, blending is done ever so intricately throughout that it all makes sense. Changing the rock to make it seem new and fresh every time.
Starting off we have the title track "Hot and Dangerous feat. Jonny Sparks" and this song kicks off with a 80's'ish sounding vocal line and music behind to match. Guitar in sync with the lyrics and riffs thrown where they are needed, I couldn't think of a better way to start off an album of this magnitude. If you move on to the song "Let Me Go feat. Joe Hill" you will be greeted by a very heavy introduction, differing in style than that of the first track. Based more hard heavy tones, this song shows the artist's ability to perform different styles seemingly without effort;
As we continue through the album we transition vastly again to "Best Laid Plans feat. Jane Gould", which is a slow melodic ballad of rock that is performed beautifully! The soft female vocals surrounded by elegantly strummed guitar really sets this song off. Showing yet again another great talent for music understanding presented by the artists. Next up on the tracklist that carries this same peaceful vibe is "Oblivion". Drawing upon a deeply intense message that is accentuated by the music composed behind it. But the peace doesn't last the whole song as it blasts off into a heavy slew of metal fantasticness!!
So if you are looking for an album that will fill up a vast range of musical ranges, and do that ever so masterfully, then make sure to grab HOT AND DANGEROUS when it comes out on April 2.
