Jo Below formed in 2017 are a four-piece Hard Rock group who are based in Helsinki, Finland. Founded from the Ruins of "Devil I Know" JO BELOW are inspired by a wide range of music styles which vary from Southern Rock to Grunge and pop- punk. Inspired by singalong choruses, Heavy rock riffs and high quality production, The band produces music with a mix of Classic Rock and Modern American-style Rock, Some people may call it Modern Classic Rock.
"Where Are You Now" as the title suggests This song is about finding someone who you've lost in your past and want to be back in touch. This song makes me think of two people who were deeply in love and were unfortunately separated from each other but none of them tried to keep it together and now the person is sitting thinking what they could have done differently. The instruments in this song do brilliantly to set the tone and mood as the song goes on. Its all about taking your chances at the right moment and not going on regretting your decisions. As I delve into the lyrics of Johanna it sounds like she has been through something similar to what is going on and she will always regret her decision not saying anything.
"I Confess" This song in my opinion has a kind of love song throughout it with the person in two minds whether they want to be with the other person or not and it's making her crazy. The guitar in this song is played really well as everything else going on is keeping up with the guitar's tempo and rhythm. As the song goes on it becomes more and more intriguing and the chorus sticks in your head as you start singing along without realising. This song has a really deep tone to it as if this is a very serious situation for the person as if its life or death.
"No Control" This song is made to be an emotional song as I would say its about two people in a relationship where things are bad and just seems to be getting out of hand and both parties have no control over what happens next. The song sends out a message that if you are better off going the lone road then you are better off wise doing it as things can escalate quickly without anyone realising and could end up in a very serious or hurtful situation. The instruments used in this song connect really well together and set the scene for the song as the vocals perform.
My overall thoughts on this album are that if you find yourself in a very harmful relationship you are better off going your separate ways for your own safety and the safety of the other person before someone ends up dead. The instruments are used brilliantly for creating a scene of a love hate relationship
