Jim Capaldi - Poor Boy Blues album cover

Jim Capaldi is known mostly from his participation in the great band called Traffic, although he's had a great solo career with 12 solo albums since 1972,  with Oh How We Danced being his debut solo album. Also he has been cooperating with famous musicians like Gary Moore, Eric Clapton etc.
Poor Boy Blues is more like a 'best of' album rather than a full-length album, because his has a big variety of songs. I mean that the album starts with a very good Blues/Rock song, Poor Boy Blues, and then moves on to Edge of Love and Secrets In The Dark which is a romantic/AOR song with a lot  of keyboards. The variety of styles doesn't stop there!!! The songs Into The Void and Breathless are electro-pop, then there are pop songs like California Sunset, ballads like I've Been Changing and Bright Fighter, and a rock-character song called Long Legs.
The whole work is very good but I think that the variety of playing styles within this album are too much for me, though I think that Capaldi's fans will find a lot of songs really interesting and they'll surely like Poor Boy Blues!!!
