Inglorious return with their fifth studio album “V” .After taking a announced break in 2022 after a lengthy tour, with also 7 years of constant touring which included touring with the likes of The Dead Daisies,Steel Panther & The Winery Dogs and their own headline tours.”V” marks the return of original band member Colin Parkinson to the fold,which came about after in summer 2023 after Nathan James invited Colin for a pint,which then led to a few meetings and writing sessions which all added up to a full album of new material. Richard Shaw (Cradle Of Filth) on guitar with lifelong friend Henry Rogers (Touchstone .Mostly Human) completes the Inglorious line up. Nathan James is also known for performing in Jeff Wayne's War Of The Worlds. The Trans- Siberian and super group Iconic. Colin Parkinson also handled the production,mixing by Tony Draper who worked on “Inglorious II” and “Hard To Handle”.

“V” starts with the lead single “Testify” with its thunderous bassline,with the a perfect mixture of hard rock,with some great melodic hooks,with a huge chorus.”Eat You Alive” starts full of raw energy bold bass line & strong guitar riffs but as the song progresses it splutters in parts to keep the momentum going.”Devil Inside” sees Inglorious back in the zone its a strong,bold track with Nathan James on top form vocally. Attitude is the aura given off by the heavy & energetic “Say What You Wanna Say” which is a two fingers up to the haters the poignant lyric “I'll Never Listen Anyway” a show of defiance. A change of mood and tempo for the ballad of the album “Believe” is a chance for Nathan James to show off his great vocals & range,with some acoustic guitar touches and a powerful chorus. If you love your hard rock with swagger and groove then “Stand” and “In Your Eyes” have this in droves, some infectious guitar riffs & groovy bass touches with that modern rock twist. Both “Silent” and “End Of The Road” are once again full of attitude,slow head banging tracks with solid gritty melody's. The closing track “Power Of Truth” is one of the stand out tracks which starts off acoustic with the power building ,then the band kicks in into a really powerful track both musically and vocally a great finish to the album.

All in all “V” is a strong,solid release and a welcome return for Inglorious. A new line up with two original members,refreshed and determination with something to prove. For me “Eat You Alive” does let the album down a little,a track I find to be the weak link. Nathan James is on top form vocally,Colin Parkinson is on top form with the bass & production. A great solid rock album for 2025 worth a listen.
