IN HEARTS WAKE is a Melodic Death Metal and Hardcore band from Byron Bay in Australia. The band began in 2006 and released debut album "Divination" in August of 2012 and their new album "Earthwalker" in 2014.

Intro "Gaia" is nice with stronger guitars and introduces the listener to this album from the Australian Metallers.

I love especially 2 tracks: "Earthwalker" and "Divine". Single track has many power and fantastic modern sounds including melodic riffs, growling, and mega catchy refrain with memorable clear singing! The guys know how to create a hit with Hardcore echoes. "Divine" has not only melodic clear riffs with Melodic Death Metal influences, but also powerful drums & fantastic clear vocals connecting with growls. Many modern techniques can be heard in the music, even piano. There are also LINKIN PARK echoes with PANTERA in the mix. Explosive mic work! Just listen to the ballad "Wildflower" with calmer guitars & wonderful climate of singing and you will know that the band has also a sensitive face of soul.

Worth to listening are also: "Gravity" where electronic & brutal guitars surround the listener with melodic refrain, "Healer" where melodic guitar has Doom Metal echoes It also has the power of PANTERA and technical / industrial sounds a 'la FEAR FACTORY, and "Sacred" which shows that musicians are perfectionists in connecting the aggression of pulp drums and heavy guitars with calmer sounds including piano.

IN HEARTS WAKE has recorded a very good album which is full of energy. The production is very clear so it's nice in listening. Album is diverse, full of emotions, melodies, aggression, and brutality. They used growling, screaming, clean vocals, blast beats, electronic, and modern sounds. They have their own way of playing this kind of music without any scheme. Their music seems to be unique. I'm sure everyone who loves Melodic Death Metal, Hardcore and modern sounds mixed with electronic elements should to listen this album of Australian band.
