A new name rises from the underground Hunger who hail from Seville in Spain. Featuring Dizzy D on vocals, Jara Solís and Rudolf V on guitars and Vick Rodríguez on bass – with session drummer Fabio Alessandrini (Annihilator, Bonfire, Enforcer) completing the line-up stepping in behind the kit on this release.The debut a six track EP rooted in classic heavy/speed metal. Built on a haunted, cursed vibe and inspired by the mid-’80s sound, Hunger blends sharp, memorable riffing with explosive, aggressive vocals. It’s heavy/speed metal with identity – made by underground maniacs for underground maniacs!

This EP begins with an instrumental intro “Descent Into Abyss” which picks up tempo as it progresses paving the way for “Hunger” which is  guitar led with some beefy riffs which sets off an onslaught of fast paced,full on old school heavy metal energy hard hitting drums,fast guitars and snarling vocals.”Ruler Of The Rules” has a nice deep bass line which escalated into deeper bass tones before the rest of the band come in to launch into a another heavy number with some high pitched vocals.”Sabotage” is another slice of fast,high intensity metal complete with guitars in unison in parts,definitely one that will get those heads banging with devil horns in the air! The bells toll,with howling winds which lead to another musical interlude of guitars,drums & bass “Evil Omen” ,which build the anticipation for the final track “Beware The Demons” which is of course a cover of a Stormwitch classic which is a great cover, which ends the album in heavy/speed metal style.

Hunger have released a solid EP release with “Ruler Of The Wolves”.They have captured that sound of the mid 80’s heavy/speed metal and delivered three great original tracks, with great appeal with two cool haunting instrumentals and one killer cover! Great old school heavy metal for 2025,will be looking forward to a full length album in the future.
