"Time To Die" the title track from this EP is inspired by the cult 80's scI-fi classic film "Blade Runner" featuring the monologue by Rutger Hauer/Roy Batty which is regarded as one of the best speeches in movie history, which is replicated word for word in the chorus, a track cleverly written by written by Executive Producer Bruce Mee and Gabrielle De Val.The EP features three other tracks previously unreleased "Shine" by Tony Denander and "Jigsaw Man" another Mee/De Val collaboration both cut at the last minute from Gabrielle's superb 2025 album "I Am The Hammer".The final track "Hold On" which is a duet with Mick Devine (Seven) which has been totally re-arranged by Gary Pihl who featured on guitar on the final version from the "Kiss In A Dragon Night" album.2026 sees a busy year from De Val with two more albums scheduled for release "Revolution" and Escape's "Cry Wolf".

Opening with an iconic narrative,"Time To Die" then continues with shredding & riffing guitar, with fast rhythm & tempo,a well written, vocally well delivered track which delivers a fitting tribute to one of the most iconic sci-fi films of all time."The Jigsaw Man" is another Mee/De Val song-writing collaboration again has some great intuitive lyrics, some slick keys & guitars which along with Gabrielle's voice deliver a top notch AOR/Melodic Rock track of great quality, along with "Shine" written by Tommy Denander which has a great soaring melodic chorus, plenty of modern AOR touches which is another knock out track ,which just shows the high calibre quality of tracks available on last years "I Am The Hammer" album."Hold On" the last track on this EP is a more stripped back, restrained, but an emotional take on the original, which allows the vocal chemistry between Gabrielle De Val & Mick Devine to flow through in their superb vocals, the harmonies in the chorus are a touching delicate & tender moment.

"Time To Die" again shows why Gabrielle De Val is the queen of AOR/Melodic Rock who never fails to disappoint. With a great writing and production team behind her she continues to deliver timeless music with a modern edge. This is a superb taster of what's to come in 2026 and beyond."Time To Die" is available on 6th February through Pride & Joy Music ,which is limited to 500 copies on cd,which will be also available to stream.
