In Shadows Deep – Shadow of the Crow Pt. II
Forbidden Seed

FORBIDDEN SEED is from Thessaloniki, Central Macedonia, Greece, and plays Heavy/Power/Thrash Metal, ranked from major to minor influences. Thay were formed in 2013 and "In Shadows Deep – Shadow of the Crow Pt. II" is their fourth studio album to date. It is filled with over 72 minutes of rather impressive music. it was released on 12 November 2025, so a review by METAL TEMPLE is way overdue. Well, the album title says it all, doesn't it. Yes, there is a "In Shadows Deep – Shadow of the Crow Pt. I", which was released in 2022. The other two albums, just to fill the discography are "The Grand Masquerade" from 2018 and the 2015 album "From Sand To Eternity". As for my experiences with FORBIDDEN SEED before this current album; zilch. I had never even heard of the band before now.
Well, that definitely has changed since listening to "In Shadows Deep – Shadow of the Crow Pt. II", as this album has somehow slithered its way into my brain, has gotten its hooks stuck into my memory. Is it because it is better that comprehensible? Nope, that's not it. Is it because I'm hearing something that I never heard before? Nah, that's not the case either. The reason I really like this is because the what that FORBIDDEN SEED are able to mix the three kinds of music into their songs just produces very intriguing and interesting songs, tunes that have a way of catching you unawares, that sometimes come from an angle you don't expect, making sure that you couldn't and wouldn't expect them to approach you by. And yes, once you've gone through "In Shadows Deep – Shadow of the Crow Pt. II" in its entirety, you should have been aware that this would happen, which actually does with every time you listen to this FORBIDDEN SEED album.
I know that "In Shadows Deep – Shadow of the Crow Pt. II" is a special kind of album, one of those that will keep growing on you every time to decide to play it. And no, I don't feel that FORBIDDEN SEED is giving me something that should Rock my world, but somehow it does. I just can't stop listening. That's how much this album has me in its grasp. Do I mind? Not at all, as the quality of the songs is at least very good, from start to finish. FORBIDDEN SEED should not be forbidden anymore, and the seed should grow into a fully accepted plant.
