"Negative" is Void's third full-length album with FEED THEM DEATH. The album is the apex of his personal research into the realm of non-conformity in music, coming to complete and fully realize a body of work with which his intent was to deconstruct and remodel various influences into something unique, terrifying and dissonant. The simplicity of the title "Negative", in its attempt to be concisely iconic, is only apparent as the album borrows much of its narrative apparatus from the writings of Theodor Adorno, and especially those relating to the commoditization of art (and modern music too, be it pop or underground) within the cogwheels of consumerism. The album contains eight tracks.

"Superficialibi" leads off the album. It's a short two-minute blast of Extreme Metal, with horrid vocals and a Death Metal sound. Heavy, dissonant riffing takes place throughout the song, with a bit of piano towards the end. "Minima Moralia" is similar in pace and sound. A crushing riff mixes in with some serious drumming and cymbal crashes. "Displeasure is Pleasure" is nearly the same as the first two tracks. You can hear some bass thwacking away here, but so far, I am not impressed with the lack of diversity Void presents on the album.

"Eulogic (Negative Dialektik)" is a five-minute song, that opens with a few lead guitar notes, then the song falls back into the familiar groove once again. The vocals...are starting to grate on me now. They are brutal, but when sung the same way over and over again, are getting old. Some string mix in with some eerie notes around the half-way mark, but they don't last too long. "Our Cruelty to Reality (Evokism IV)" is the first track that presents at least a little different. It begins with odd and harrowing tones in the background. These odd tones carry through the entire track, along with some spoken word.

"An Objective Tragedy" is another short song with the same sounds as the first three tracks. There really isn't much left to say about the song...it just sounds like most of the other tracks.  "The Underworld Unveiled" is yet another repetitive track. There is a slight pause for a few bars, but man oh man, this really gets old after a while. "The Idiotic Yearning for More (Barbarism of Perfection)" closes the album. Yet again, although the artist can play fairly well, the song doesn't sound any different than most of the other tracks.

Overall, what weighed the album down was the repetitive pattern recurring over and over again. In this case, the album is mired in mediocrity, because the artist refuses to take some chances and stray from the path he has laid out. It's honestly a waste of your time.
