Eskimo Callboy - We Are The Mess album cover

"We Are The Mess" is so much more appropriate a title than I expected when I put this album on. The album was a complete mess. I have listened to several bands where they have mixed genres and have made this huge fun album. And I expected such as soon as ESKIMO CALLBOY began to take off. But after a while, it just felt like this huge jumbled mess of god knows what, and I had to turn it off. After taking a break and 'flushing' my ears out with something I enjoyed more, I turned the album back on.

I am not saying it's bad, maybe just goes on a little too long for my taste without much change. Though I will say I did enjoy "Blood Red Lips". It was one enjoyable song out of the disorderly mess they have placed before us. Another great song, though to me, not worth buying an entire album for is, "Never Let You Know". Disappointingly enough, you would have to purchase the special edition to get this amazing acoustic track. Seriously, this song made listening through the entire album to find a good song, worth it. Then again, I wish it were a tad longer. So while this wasn't the absolute worst album I ever heard, this is definitely not something I would spend my money on. Unless it was like $2 to download the bonus song. That I would do.

But hey these guys have been around quite a while so maybe if they stick with it, try to organize it a little better, I will find something I can stomach to listen to more than one song of.
