Eskhaton - Worship Death album cover

Death Metal is such a plentiful branch of Metal now, it really takes a lot for a band to step out and do something new. The question here is, did ESKHATON do enough to step out with their new album "Worship Death" available now through Chaos Records. It may not be anything big and new, but it's a start for sure.

"Worship Death" is a Blackened Death style album with many obvious influences present. The songs range from short to long making each track in itself unpredictable. The style the songs are written in instrumentally are much more Death Metal sounding than they are Black Metal, but the presentation of vocals have a much more Black Metal feel to them.

The tracks throughout the album won't be far from what you can easily predict with this being a Blackened Death album. Roaring vocals, face melting guitars and blistering drums. Samples of heartbeat monitors come in a couple times giving the album more of an atmospheric and emotion feel to it. Each of the songs in itself sometimes feels like it is multiple songs. They sometimes seem to feel like they drag and i find myself getting lost at where I am and losing interest in a few parts, but that may just be me. All in all, "Worship Death" is a new Blackened Death Metal album, if you like Black or Death Metal, I suggest that you check it out! It may not be a groundbreaking album, but it's good for what it is.
