ELEINE is a Swedish Symphonic Metal band with Groove, that comes from Landskrona and has been making music since 2014. In the eleven years they have been around they have been quite active, with four studio albums and two EP’s before “We Stand United”. This one saw its release on 5 September 2025, and houses a mix of studio and live performances.

Although there are five songs on the EP, I’m going to discount the opening track “Towards The Fields”, as it is just a short intro. What I can not do is deny that the title song of this EP, “We Stand United”, doesn’t impress. I really love the way the band has been able to mix their Symphonic and Melodic Metal with Groove and attitude. Because there is no way around the fact that the track is full of all of the mentioned attributes, making it a very impressive song. The last song on this EP is “Promise Of Apocalypse”. The original version can be found on the 2023 album “We Shall Remain”. Here it has been altered into a Symphonic version, and although the band have made a good effort in rearranging the song to fit this version, I just can’t help but realise that it just doesn’t wow me in any way or form.

The two songs in between have been recorded at their Masters Of Rock appearance in 2024, and they really show that although ELEINE is classed as a Symphonic Metal band they also have a tendency to sound bloody massive, like a Heavy Groove Metal band that incorporates Symphonic elements into their music. the sound is massive, the renditions of the songs powerful and the band is obviously playing with a lot of dedication and self-confidence. That shines through in both songs, making them very nice to listen to.

As a whole ELEINE has released a nice EP with “We Stand United”, and the fans will undoubtedly snap this up as soon as they can (if they haven’t already). If, like me, this is your first encounter with the band, than you might also think like I do that one very good song, two alright tunes and a okay one, that there are a lot of questions to be answered before you submit to any other albums or EP’s. That also goes for me, which mean that in my case, I need to find out how the band was before telling anyone if ELEINE is a good band or not.
