DYING DESOLATION are a 4 piece Nu/Metal-core band from Cleveland, Ohio. DYING DESOLATION are not any ordinary band. They are an inspirational collective of teenagers who have created an outstanding band who have written & produced some fucking awesome music!! The band was formed in 2015 by Gabe Gazic (guitars) and Jordan Gannon (drums) who got together as a band after attending their first gig together. They were just the tender age of 12 at the time! Together the 2 boys started writing and playing their own music.

After Gabe had a few guitar lessons & Jordan had acquired a drum kit, the 2 realized they were onto something & needed a singer to front the band. They searched hard & in the school quire, they found exactly who they were looking for in the form of front man & singer/guitarist Gavin Kerr. The now trio had their first gig opening for TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION at The Agora Ballroom, Cleveland and immediately started gaining a following. This has continued to grow massively over their short years. The band released their self titled album on March 29th 2019 and soon after started writing new material for the EP "Paroxysm." Ironically enough, when the boys decided to add a bass player to complete the band, they took on Simon Kanaris as DYING DESOLATION's new bassist. Simon had been following the band & going to their gigs for months before he was inducted into DD. The now complete line up took place and the band was complete! The perfect 4 teenagers who could possibly come together to create such magnificent music together with such passion & fire in their souls.

The new EP "Paroxysm" is due for release on July 10th 2020, so mark the date in your calendar cause you DO NOT want to miss out!! "Paroxysm" has 6 ear bleeding tracks to blast loud enough for the neighbours to hear, after all you don't want them to miss out cause this EP is shit hot!! Opening the EP we have "Ascension." It's an "emergency action notification" statement. It's one we should pay attention to - seriously! It sounds kinda creepy but in a good way. These young men know what they are talking about! It has a slight creepy feel to it, like the kinda thing you listen to and it makes the hairs stand up on the back of your neck!

"Tick" is a heavy song showing the powerful combination of the 4 young men's talent together. This song is one to hear the variations in Gavin's vocal range. It's amazing the way Gabe, Gavin & Simon play those strings & Jordan has the drum beats perfectly timed to come through at the best possible moments to hear the beats. My favourite song from the new EP is song number 3 "Parasite," a song featuring Christian Grey. OMG! How do I describe this song? It's one with lots of screamo & singing. The lyrics are written beautifully. The band have a habit of touching on mental health issues in their songs as a way to let the fans know they are not alone. Gavin Kerr (vocals,) tragically lost his brother & has turned his grief into music. The band have songs so well written & performed that you know they come straight from the heart.

Song Number 4 on "Paroxysm" is "Leave Me." I absolutely love the way the song opens! This song makes things very real for me at the moment, I can seriously relate to the song due to my own brother's metal health at the moment. A very powerful song. Song number 5 is called "Child's Play" and it opens with some heavy riffs & beats. This song is another one not to be missed, fuck the whole EP is not be missed! It's got some awesome screams going down not to mention the lyrics are as sharp as a court order rolled into a point & stabbed into someone's eye! Closing DYING DESOLATION's new EP is "The Calling." At 3 minutes 39 seconds, we get to hear just how powerful Gavin's voice can be and just how fast & hard Gavin, Gabe & Simon are playing those strings while Jordan beats on those drums. The variations in Gavin's vocal range are astounding! This song is full of bite, fire & raw DD at their finest & was the perfect way to end the EP. But does the EP actually end if you play it on repeat all day like I have?

DYING DESOLATION are a band who are going big places now & in the future, even bigger places! I personally know Gavin & Gabe, both amazing young men (as are Jordan & Simon.) As for the band as overall, I have never come across a band who have, at such a young age, had such vision, dedication, determination, passion & inspirational hearts & souls which they pour into making fucking phenomenal music! These young men will one day be playing main stage at festivals. In the 2 months that "Tick" has been on YouTube, the video has been viewed over 17 thousand times!! I'm so proud of these guys & so happy to say I can be a part of their journey. I look forward to the day they are able to play a U.K gig so we can meet, hugs all round!
