Dry Kill Logic - The Dead And The Dreaming album cover

Dry Kill Logic, previously known as Hinge, play something like MetalCore and are many times very close to Nu-Metal. In their most heaviest moments they remind me of Pantera and in their most Core-Nu or whatever moments they remind me of Korn.
Dry Kill Logic was founded in 1993 and was originally known as Hinge. The band released two records independently; Cause Moshing Is Good Fun! in 1998 and Elemantal Evil in 1999 on their own indie label Psychodrama before partnering with Scrap 60 Productions in 2000 to produce The Darker Side Of Nonsense, released in 2001 through Roadrunner / Island Def Jam Records. In the autumn of 2002 Dry Kill Logic parted ways with both Roadrunner Records and guitarist Scott Tompson. The guitars vacancy was subsequently filled by Jason Bozzi of Gargantua Soul. The band drafting new bassist Danny Horboychuk of Down For Low, signed a European deal with SPV Records in Germany and Repossession Records in the US for this album.
As I previously wrote, Dry Kill Logic reminds me of Pantera in many ways. They really have heavy guitars which all the time riff unstopably. The vocals are very aggressive and pissed off but there are also clear vocals too. The drums are too groovy and the whole rhythm reminds me of Korn's style. The production is very satisfying; that's why you can very comfortably listen to this album. The only thing that personally I don't like is when there are clear vocals between songs and the music goes to more melodic paths and that makes the tracks sound too soft. Such songs are Paper Tiger, Push/Pull, Then You Lie, Living Witness, One Handed Knife Fight, As Thick As Thieves and Hindsight. As you may have understood the rest of the songs are in my preference.
- Album Highlights: Lost, Buckles and Perfect Enemy.
