The Heavy Metal quartet from Athens, Greece are back with their sophomore album called ''Realms of Time'', 4 years after their debut effort called ''Fallen Empires''.  On a side note, please check out their awesome cover of an underappreciated (and freakin' awesome) IRON MAIDEN song called ''The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner'' they did in September of 2016 for Metal Hammer magazine. You are going to love it, I promise!

They do borrow their sound from the classic 80's Heavy Metal bands that's for sure, it's not a knock on them at all, you just realize how much those legends influenced their sound. It's just really nice old school Heavy Metal, you have that raw energy of ACCEPT and the guitar wizardry of JUDAS PRIEST with some added Keyboards here and there. Though the drumming is a bit more technical than the NWOBHM bands, you have a lot of Double Kick Drumming happening and it adds a special touch. Nice work by the rhythm guitarist, he seems to be the gel that makes this band whole. Nothing too intricate but he does a nice job putting his touch on these songs. You have the common riffs you here in classic bands but it's always nice when they are properly used.

The element that I felt was lacking is a great vocalist. It takes some time to get used to his vocal style and you love it or you hate it. There is no real in between to be honest.  The hooks are fine and you got some pretty quality catchy choruses but I wasn't impressed by the vocalist. He kind of fell on my nerves a bit and I just couldn't enjoy myself like I should have. Some people are going to love his gruff style but it was not my case unfortunately. It's basic metal, nothing fancy, they stay true to their influences. There is a bit more variety than their first album and better production values but it does not overwhelm me with awesomeness. It's a good band but no way mind-bendingly good. They aren't bad at all and I would have preferred something a bit more fresh, persay. Nothing really stands out but it's a good listen but I prefer the classics bar none.
