Dissenter - Furor Arma Ministrat album cover

One more re-release by the Polish label Metal Mind Productions. There were three releases I got from them recently and all of them were something like re-releases. There are two reviews that will soon see the light of day (DEMISE and ELYSIUM), which are exactly the same as this one. I don't want to make you tired so I begin to explain what I just said...

Furor Arma Ministrat was originally released in 2005 as a part of a Metal music magazine and only in Poland, so as you understand this is the album's first official release. The Polish Death Metal act DISSENTER was formed in 1996 (years pass by so quickly...) and except from this album, they had released three more full-length records, as well as a split CD with LOST SOUL, REINLESS and NIGHT GALLERY.

What more can this release offer to us (than the original did)? It is just easy for everyone to obtain this fine Death Metal album. The lucky ones already have the album from the Polish magazine. The funny thing is that many sites say that this album was released in 2005 not along with a magazine, but by Polish Death Metal label Empire Records.

Since I have been confused by what I have read about this album I will go on describing the music I listened to in Furor Arma Ministrat and nothing more. DISSENTER is a fine brutal Death Metal act that is mostly based upon the US Death Metal sound that bands like DEICIDE and SUFFOCATION produce, while using some of their country mates' elements (call me DIES IRAE). In fact, Garbathy will probably be already known to you, since he is the one who replaced DEICIDE's Glen Benton for the band's 2007 tour.

Equipped with a heavy as hell sound and some more than just nice compositions, the Polish extreme metallers offer an album full of blasphemous Death Metal compositions with killer guitar leads and insane drumming that will be a good companion for your brutal needs. It is definitely not one of the best Death Metal releases for this year - neither for the year it got released - but it definitely is a fine listen once in a while, especially if you are one of those who believe that DEICIDE's latest albums are too melodic.
