Dirty Passion

The Swedish band DIRTY PASSION have been on the road since 2006. The four Rockers climbed to the top step by step and reached to opening concerts for big acts like SAXON, ACCEPT and LOUDNESS... and were played on the Swedish radio as part of the day life routine.
The album is opening with a solid track named "Into The Wild". Honestly, I didn't feel anything that made me burst but it was nice to hear some others elements on the guitar playing aside from the common Glam Metal / Hard Rock stuff such as of the Thrash nature. That proved to me that DIRTY PASSION weren't aiming to recycle themselves over and over. I am not a big fan of ballads but when a track like "When Darkness Falls" arrives, it will blow me away. DIRTY PASSION released it as a single and it was a good choice. This is the best track in my account and after thinking about it, I couldn't believe that it is a ballad. The chorus is fucking sticky and I couldn't help but memorizing it. That song seemed to be the booster for the rest of the tracklist as from that point on, everything got better like "Sinner", which stepped up as another good track. It has a little bit of Funky intro and a hell of a guitar melody throughout the song that is simply brilliant. That melodic verse served as a kind of balance between the rough distorted riffs and colorful harmonic licks.
"Make It Last" is another great ballad, but it couldn't outtake "When Darkness Falls". Right afterwards there is another semi ballad, which was not expected but I could feel the maturity of this song that reminded me of a lost BONFIRE track that had to be enter to their albums but didn't. "Daughter Of The Reaper" is a return to the quick fire rocking stuff with diverse riffing that indicated of some development. The drumming, especially in the verses, intensifies the song while the chorus serves as a sing-along treat. Listening to the overture of "Light Of Candle" I begged that it won't be the same ole' boring formula. Happily it was better than I expected and DIRTY PASSION really did it by changing the scale. At first I thought to myself that I already heard this kind of opening but I came to my senses pretty fast. The song is like a kind of anthem, especially due to the grandiose chorus that really caught me by the balls. "Shadowland" is the closing track of the album. I would consider it as one of the best tracks of the album, very strong, heavy and keeps the energy level up. I think it is little bit different from the album songs by its heaviness, but it is keep the DIRTY PASSION atmosphere alive.
This is certainly not the first time that I hear about this Swedish bunch of Rockers, and I think that if they will stick to their guns they are going to make it as they bring something else to the Swedish Glam Metal scene.
