Degreed from Stockholm Sweden have been releasing critically acclaimed music since their debut album "Life,Loss.Love" in 2010.Over the bands year over the band’s 15 year career Degreed have gone from strength to strength with every album release & touring and gaining fans from all over the world.Degreed’s distinctive style & sound mixes melodic and hard rock sounds with more contemporary influences, which offers the fans a very personal, fresh and exciting style of music.”The Leftovers Vol 1” EP features seven original tracks which have been recorded and reworked, also including two tracks previously only available on the Japanese releases of their last two albums “Are You Ready” & “Public Address” with the physical edition adding previously unreleased track “Hear Me Out”. This EP serves as a companion to their recent albums and an appetiser for the brand new album due in early 2026.

The opening track “If It Wasn't For Me” is a superb AOR track with a definite American influence, the big powerful harmonious chorus ,slick production, melodic guitar solo gel together to make a big sound. The next couple of tracks “Good Enough” & “Love Your Enemy” have heavier galloping guitar riffs with energetic rhythm,a faster tempo and are both great examples of modern rock with poppy elements.”Wildchild” a tribute to Children Of Bodom guitarist Alexi Laiho age 41 in 2020 is a full electric charge of energy it has intense drums, gritty riffs & vocals with a full on anthemic chorus which dips a few toes into alternative rock. The energetic high octane melodies and tones carry through to the big sounding “Get Up!” which has deep bass tones with some great guitar runs and a chorus which has you hooked and singing along as it is so infectious. The piano led “Hard To Be Human” is just such a great ballad which touches you ,Robin Eriksson is on top form with a sincere heartfelt vocal which as the track progresses building a powerful momentum with some dramatic orchestral intervention definitely one of my favourite tracks of 2025.A  superb synthwave rework of “This Is Love” from the last studio album “Public Address" sounds huge with lots of swirling synths & keys with some nice guitar injection. The piano version of “Falling Down” also from the last studio album is a piano charged emotional rendition with another excellent vocal when then leads to the last track the previously unreleased ”Hear Me Out” another piano charged track, again full of more powerful vocals, with the pulsating drum beat leads the charge to bring the track and the EP to end with a powerful conclusion.

Degreed never fail to disappoint and for me, they are one of the best bands that lead the charge in the modern melodic rock scene.”The Left Overs Vol 1” EP is a great collection of songs with superb quality and first class production that will wet your appetite for the forthcoming new Degreed album due early next year and I for one cannot wait! Superb EP which will not disappoint another superb release from thIs Swedish quartet highly recommended.
