When the lead single from this CD, "Generation Fuck Star", crossed my desk three months ago, I knew that I had to review this when it came out. It was a monster song and let you know this band wasn't playing.

I was familiar with Davey from his previous band, TRAUMA DEVILLE. DAVEY SUICIDE is a whole new beast though. The first song, "Cross Our Heart" is a creepy sounding intro with the children's choir singing, "Cross Our Heart" / "We Confide" / "Put Our Trust In Suicide" over and over. That then launches into "Generation Fuck Star", which is pure MURDERDOLLS meets Early MANSON.

"Sick Suicide" has a killer guitar riff, while the vocals remind one of ALICE COOPER during his 80s heyday. "Hustler Queen" has a modern FASTER PUSSYCAT vibe, mixing screeching vocals and sleazy lyrics with that modern MANSON style. The guitar solo on this one really rips. "In My Chest Is A Grave" is more Manson sounding music but with better lyrics and much better singing. Davey really has a flair for the dramatic and drains every bit of energy out of these tunes.

"Professor Asshole" is a short intro that leads into the all out assault that is "Grab A Gun & Hide Your Morals". The CD ends with the acoustic based ballad "I'll Take A Bullet For You". Again, Davey is dead on and really lays the emotion on thick, pulling on all the heartstrings.

This is a beast of a CD. It perfectly combines Horror themed shock rock with modern rock and glam influences. Every member of this band is perfect for the sound and delivers a crushing performance. The band has already been named one of the 100 Bands You Need To Know by Alternative Press for 2013.

This is for anyone that is a fan of MARILYN MANSON, THE MURDERDOLLS, STATIC-X, ROB ZOMBIE, or the likes. This is for the rebels. This is for the underdogs. This, folks, is a serious contender for my Album Of The Year.
