DARK MIRROR OV TRAGEDY is a Symphonic Black/Gothic/Death Metal band from Seoul, South Korea formed in 2003. The band's name refers to the mirror used by Nostradamus to see the dark, cursed future. In 2005 they released debut album "Dark Mirror Ov Tragedy", in 2009 "The Pregnant of Despair", in 2010 EP "Under a Withered Branch" and "The Lunatic Chapters of Heavenly Creatures" - 3rd full-length album was out on June 18th 2014.

Fantastic opener "Thy Sarcophagus" is an amazing symphonic intro and invitation to next track "Unwritten Symphony" where energetic guitars mix screaming vocal with melodic sounds with piano, violins and great choir in the background. I hear influences of CRADLE OF FILTH and DIMMU BORGIR in Melodic Death Metal parts and Symphonic elements perfectly suits here. Amazing guitar solo is the icing on the cake. I like so much "Ichnography On Delusion" with melodic heavy guitars & symphonic orchestra elements. In this track is power and energy!

What is also really fine is "Dancing In The Burning Mirror" where the combination of piano with stronger guitars sound awesome, Progressive change rate from energetic to calmer sounds. Violins in classic music style and voice, which make a goose flesh are totally perfect! The choir together with heavy riffs and pulp of drums sounds very amazing! Worth to mention is that in "The Name Of Tragedy" the vocalist singing together with female soprano vocalist. This is fabulous! Energetic, Melo death scream with gentle piano, pulp drums, symphonic elements and romantic violins can to find in "Perish By Luminos Dullness" - these all give interesting mix!

"The Constellation Of Shadows" is so fantastic track where band combines all styles and elements from lower guitars, orchestra elements, DIMMU BORGIR influences, energetic, melody, beautiful violins, progression change rate, Death Metal drums, scream vocal and amazing guitar solo. This is true art!

DARK MIRROR OV TRAGEDY's latest instalment is highly recommended. Production is on high level and band play interesting music connecting Symphonic Black Metal with Death Metal and Gothic elements. Music of these guys is very interesting and I think their work should to be appreciate by fans of Symphonic Metal, Melodic Black Metal with Gothic influences. This band is outstanding! They could perfectly connect all of kind Metal with Symphonic and Classic music!
