Cultural Warfare

California Natives and Bay Area Thrash enthusiasts CULTURAL WARFARE have unleashed toxic Hell upon us with their official debut "Warmageddon." Sticking true to the originals and their methods, CULTURAL WARFARE's sound is homage to classic bands like JUDAS PRIEST, IRON MAIDEN, EXODUS and others. And their sound blooms like an angry mushroom cloud, riffs riding a shock wave ready to level everything in its path. Vocalist Jaques Serrano has a hybridized vocal technique that combines Power and Thrash, inspired by his heroes KING DIAMOND, Jeff Scott Soto, Chuck Billy, and Bobby Blitz, allowing his to rage growl and shriek like an operatic harpy.
Warmageddon takes us to a plane of sprawling torment with a vicious storm brewing in the sky ready to unleash torrential hell in the title track. Not a merciful god in sight, the world quickly goes to hell as bombs rain from the sky. It's a track that rumbles in at break neck speed. The survival crawl through an apocalyptic warzone is far from over as the energy seeps through the next track "Divided We Crawl". There are gattling gun drum lines and mournful frets moaning towards a scarred sky. CULTURAL WARFARE defines their name as not only systematic racism but also the return fire of the oppressed. A definition that goes both ways, CULTURAL WARFARE brings all the firepower to the front line of the battlefield. "Eyes of The Land" is a heart-soaring anthem of strength, just enough to push you through the worst parts of the battlefield and get out alive. The political overtones CULTURAL WARFARE puts in their lyrics only drives their stake of rage further in.
They also take some unexpected wild turns into spiritualism and the occult with "Witches Prayer", "Two Spirits" and "Shadow Priest" with speedy riffs that would make early-era METALLICA proud. CULTURAL WARFARE have studied the Bay Area Thrash scene for years, and if their debut Warmageddon proves anything, it's that they are star pupils. Head to the front line with "Warmageddon!"
