Crowne is a Swedish supergroup which was put together by Jona Tee (H.E.A.T.).Crowne's line up is made up of pedigree Swedish Musicians which include Alexander  Strandell (Art Of Nation & Nitrate) , John Leven (Europe), Christian Kicken Lundqvist (Ex The Poodles) and Love Magnusson (Dynazty) ."Wonderland" their third album with previous albums "Kings In The North" the debut album released in 2021 and "Operation Phoenix" the sophomore album released in 2023."Wonderland" sees the band build on their signature blend of melodic rock blended with powerful metal tinged soundscapes.

This third opus from this Swedish supergroup opens with the majestic and melodic title track which with its fast galloping melody with its catchy earworm chorus which sets the tone and direction of this album."Wonderland" as an album does not disappoint it's a melodic/power fest "Waiting For You"  with some superb guitar riffs,rhythm and keys is another melodic/power metal spectacular with Alexander  Strandell leading the way with his incredible vocals and range.Another short but epic and powerful track "Eye Of The Oracle"  sees Jona Tee sprinkle his keyboard magic with some atmospheric touches,which is accompanied by John Leven's crunchy guitar riffs and a super guitar solo from Love Magnusson.That superb melodic & power metal high energy carries on with "Heaven Tonight" , with "Warlords Of The North" having a more slower but heavier tempo which was co-wrote by the legendary Biff Byford of Saxon with his contribution adding to another epic & powerful offering.

"Timing Is Right" goes back to that distinctive Crowne sound with some superb keyboard textures.The incredible melodic style ballad "Goodbye" has a great guitar solo but it's the vocal Alexander Strandell delivers which yet again steals the show , which shows why he is one of the best singers in this genre.The solid "Love Thy Enemy" and "Legacy" and the penultimate track "Hearts Collide" just soar musically and vocally ,Christian Kicken Lundqvist delivers solid bass tones the backbone of the rhythm charge on these tracks & throughout the album.The album closes in a momentous style with "The Fall" which has rich riffs,melodies and vocals to bring this superb album to a powerful energy fuelled finale."Wonderland" is Crowne's best album to date, which has 11 fantastic tracks of melodic/power metal heaven.Alexander Strandell delivers a flawless vocal performance on this album with an equally super delivery of great musicality and technicality courtesy of Jona Tee,John Leven,Christian Kicken Lundqvist and Love Magnusson which along with the stellar production by Jona Tee. One of the best albums of the year without a doubt.
