Consumption - Necrotic Lust album cover

Metal maniacs, rejoice! I am proud to present to you: CONSUMPTION; signed via Hammerheart Records, hailing from Swedish grounds - performing Grind/Death Metal, on their 2nd full length studio album entitled: "Necrotic Lust" (released August 26th, 2022). Since formation in 2020; the duo in question have only 2 full-length studio albums in their discography so far entitled: "Recursive Definitions Of Suppuration" (released September 15th, 2020), and this here sophomoric offering entitled: "Necrotic Lust" of which I am introduced to. 12 tracks ranging around 58:17; CONSUMPTION arranges an intricately designed formula on some heavy-hitting Death Metal developments.

Opening up with this satanic speech (which unravels throughout the start of the whole record); "Suffering Divine" starts off the record with this gnarly harmony, as a dirty but symbolic slab of trampling remedy suddenly revels with stampeding maliciousness until a borderline foundation in clobbering haste bludgeons eardrums with wildly rushing snarls on savagely seamless calamity. A distorted adrenaline amplifies with some strident rift patterns & blistering heft, bulldozing intensely with rampant rumbles on trembling yet reverberating technicalities. Smothering speakers with riveting sludginess, onto a fierce firepower expertise that manifests with a deathly barrage frenzy in boisterously bouncy grittiness and contorted extremity. "The Last Supper" cuts through you ominously with ripping shreds & organically piledriving wrath that rambunctiously slams with ruthless yet pandemonic volatility, ramified with sonic yet groovy blasphemies that will unleash this punchy thud of sturdy yet profusely robust stability - where synergetic weight rages on with persistent maelstrom solidity to boot.

A killer laceration mobility tremors with malignantly sulfurous surges of rampaging strife; as consisting front man Håkan Stuvemark thumps out some scouring bass audibility, while towering with rapidly nimble guitar chugs alongside twinning riffer Ludvig Johansson on solo. Both inject an infectiously primitive rawness on visceral yet primal vehemence, utilizing monolithic tempo of the meat & potato kind. The titular track showcases some versatile crunchiness in filth driven battering; bashing heads into a salubriously slamming smack of monstrously meaty densities, impactfully pulsing you with radically wicked meltdowns while raspy throatiness implements a bleeding contrast in guttural grumbles and growly burliness that's most brutal. "A Secret Coliseum" soars on with more uproarious tactics, where strumming solos morph with dexterously dynamic headedness and steamrolling pierces on trailblazing madness that will rollick heads in no time.

A hammering morbidity strikes through with pursuing systematics in experimental flamboyance and grinding slays that bombs a banging assimilation in sweltering virulence, viciously quaking souls with scattering sweeps while pounding bones immensely with some concrete clamourings amongst a hybrid chunk on pugnacious snappiness that supplies with some unapologetic momentum in full force artillery on devastating gruesomeness. "Ground Into Ash And Coil" features none other than Jeff Walker from CARCASS fame, his notable vocals and ferocious bass dominates an embedded brutality that's most distinct and distinguished. Adding a excruciating finesse more remorseless than you could imagine, attributing diabolical bestiality for slanderously vindictive personalities to thrash to mightily with barbaric intent. "Offspring Inhuman Conceived" elements at a relentlessly sadistic trepidation on malevolent oppression; unearthing some rancorous yet vigorous & rigorous songwriting musicianship instrumentation, in which shrouds with foreboding fabrications in baleful but evil empowering bombardments that volley with bursting bolts of vibrantly potent raze that will demolish everything in its path, mentally.

"Twisted Shaped Reality" forges a calamitous jolt on nasty thickness as a groundbreaking but cavernous beatdown continues swerving with tempestuous perseverance with persistently rolling shrill; engaging in an discordant but rough motoring veraciousness, as an all guns blazing vivacity melodically pummels on with outrageous conflict and collision... demanding heads to strafe with ravening embrace. The penultimate track (my package didn't include the last few tracks, sadly) "Circle Of Pain" induces a merciless rummage on unrelenting torment which makes use of their steely weapons while distilling a frantic precision on rhythmic deadliness and chaotic havoc, galloping into a frolicking cesspool in flickering assaults that will make you want to break chairs over other chairs full on.

Overall concluding "Necrotic Lust" with the finale epic "Devices For The Sentence"; this slabby yet ominously jarring resilience of inhumane harvest and retribution overrides with stompy tonality and abominable abhorrence which makes CONSUMPTION a fine discovery for all to worship Satan to. Worthy of spinning & re-playing a good bunch of times, definitely an outdoing source of justifiable yet venomous Death Metal mayhem that's so damn good. Bottom line, do check it out should you fancy a flexibly fundamental slice of some arbitrary but brisk kicks that marvels with strong production equalities amongst a hostile intrigue in devilishly & maniacal resolve. Not bad for a second offering!
