CONDEMED-AD is a Swedish band, from Varmland, to be exact. First formed in 1989, it has been a long road for the band. After a breakdown of the first front man, there was a rebirth, thus the AD. Micke stepped up, regrouped and reformed everything in 2015, he is the main inspiration for most of the lyrics, structure and riffs. With inspiration from most of your mainstream 80's Thrash bands that we all know and that I don't need to name here, comes the latest production since their 2018 release. It was put together in Italy at Titanslab and released by WormHoleDeath.

With lyrics reflecting on harsh realties and a dark past, they describe this album as everything from melodic Progressive Metal to dark and brutal Death Metal vibes. "You Will Feel My Hate", starts us out with its crisp vocals that are immediately laid out. The driving drum beats rapidly guide the guitar and bass all of the way through. The follow up to the intro, "Dead Don't Lie", is a little busy and all over the place, I'm not really sure where it's going. I like the song title though. It has been obvious from the beginning that there is a lot of thought put in to the lyrical part of these songs, which is sometimes an after thought and nice to hear here.

They slow the tempo slightly for a couple of minutes about one third of the way in. At this point, there is some fancy fretwork happening from time to time, but I'm still looking for something to grab and hold on to. The ride is still a little bouncy and all over the road, as far as having some type of rhythm that I am looking for. Don't get me wrong, there are some fabulous parts, but with a few parts that fit like a square block in a round hole thrown in. It is the style that they are obviously shooting for, I clearly see the pattern, but it is hard for me to get in to it when it changes gears so drastically in certain parts. It just doesn't make any sense to my ears sometimes. There are a lot of killer riffs, just the organization is a little rough around the edges. The vocals, lyrics and musicianship is on point. The sum total is a little lacking for me. I will give it a 7.5, but we don't do halves, so 7 it is.
