Our Time On Earth
Compass

COMPASS have brought us the new album "Our Time On Earth." The new album has 8 fresh tracks on it & it's a stomper of an album! The album was released on April 24th 2020 under Escape Music records. It's a fucking awesome album to listen to! The music is played really well, the vocals are tremendous & the combination of this compiles a fantastic album to listen to. The album gets you rocking & gets your hair swinging! The instrumentals in the album are fine ass sections that blow you away and bring you back wanting more. The album has some great songs to listen to & listen to them loudly!
So opening the new album "Our Time On Earth" we have the song "Skies On Fire," This song gives us a flavour of the rest of the album & opens with some really good instrumental music for the first 1 minute 15 seconds of the song until the vocals kick in & join giving us the complete picture. The guitar riffs are banging in this track. I could listen to the base lines all day! Moving onto song number 2 "Our Time On Earth Part 1." This is the first part of the title track and opens up softly * gently with smooth tones and softly played notes which gives me a chill. At 1 minute 33 seconds into the song the heavier playing style jumps in & bites like a great white shark eating a surfer! Song number 4 is called "Neon." It's a long song coming in at 7 minutes 22 seconds long and is full of fine instrumentals & is got to be pointed out as one not to be missed on the album. The chorus is really catchy & makes you want to learn the song to sing along to it. Next "The Preacher And The Pigeon Feeder" is a great song that opens with some light guitars and drum beats with a touch of piano. Then comes the vocal accompaniment joining the harmony of the music. It's not a heavy song, but it is a well written & played song that plays really well. Closing the album is the 2nd part of the title track "Our Time On Earth Part 2" opening with softly played piano keys this song is so easy on the ears. After the piano playing comes some gentle guitar strums then the vocals come in. The opening is rather haunting with the song, however the heavier riffs come in and take the song to a whole new level! It's a fantastic song to close a fantastic album!
Overall "Our Time On Earth" has been a tremendous album to review. I have thoroughly enjoyed every song on the album, so much so that I have listened to it twice & I am going to be following COMPASS from here on in & checking out their previous material as I think they are a band that I could really get into. If you like COMPASS you'll love the new album! The album has a collection of gentle tones & heavy riffs with awesome vocals. I can't recommend the album highly enough, I have really sunk my teeth in, took a bite & I'm telling you, it tastes good!
