It is refreshing when a band produces something so raw, original, unique and triggers every emotion in your entire body. The release that is being spoken of here is the latest instalment from Maryland Hard Rock quartet CLUTCH with their latest album "Psychic Warfare" and if this review doesn't clarify why this particular specimen is debuting charts, it's hard knowing what will.

Whilst the excitement of "Nevermind" by NIRVANA hitting the shelves in the year 1991, four guys met in high school and decided to form a band more commonly known as CLUTCH. During a time when Grunge and Alternative were starting to come into play so they picked a great time to form and release sixteen records over the past couple of decades.

From the moment play is pressed you are treated to some really dirty, edgy Hard Rock blissfulness; with such strong tunes appearing in the form of "A Quick Death In Texas", "Noble Savage Clutch" and "Decapitation Blues". The bluesy tones of their melodies combined with the rough and readiness of the riffs, solos and vocals can be heard extremely clearly here; a trait CLUTCH are very well known for.

This album certainly has an unexplainable charm that simply cannot be described in enough words; it is rough around the edges but that's what makes their sound incredibly attractive and charismatic, Neil Fallon's exquisite vocal works in harmony with the coarse instrumentation. Each and every track has something unique to offer from the Doom vibes of "Our Lady Of Electric" to the fist pumping "Firebirds";  whatever the track contains, the amiable sound CLUTCH are most known for is always there and they pull this stint exceptionally well.

From this review's praise it is safe to say CLUTCH pulled an incredible album out of the magic hat, a must have for any die hard CLUTCH fan or the typical music lover looking for something to add to their music collection.
