CHEZ KANE is a AOR singer that was on the watch list as part of a sister trio cover band Kane'd before getting her own record deal with Frontiers Records. Chez Kane was born in the 90's in South Wales but her music is generally seen as 80's vibe. Chez Kane is well known for the songs "Rocket On The Radio" and "Too Late For Love." This singer has a very powerful voice which comes through in her singing while she is trying to get the good feel vibe.
"Rocket On The Radio" Listening to this song it sounds like this song in particular has been inspired by 80's Hard Rock. It gives you a feeling of being on the beach and wanting to get up and dance or play beach sports. All instruments played in this song are very well played as all instruments really gel together and make the song that beach vibe feeling. "Too late for Love" As I am listening to this song it has the same beach vibe feeling but it was a summer romance that had came to an end abruptly. This song shows off the artists vocals really well as she can hit the high notes, low notes and long notes.
"Ball n' chain" As soon as this song started, I immediately was more attracted to the song and Chez Kane. Her voice reminds me of a female version of Bryan Adams, very soulful in their lyrics but has an upbeat tempo to it that's energetic. This song gives me a feeling of an innocent girl falling in love with your nowadays "bad boy" as the female is falling in love, the guy knows this and is using it to his advantage. "Midnight Rendezvous" is a song that starts with a long instrumental and it is a song that makes you want to swing your hair (if you have any.) Chez Kane's strong vocal talents make this a song that has power, depth and meaning.
"Die In The Name Of Love" The song still has the same summer vibe but is sung a bit slower and more depth in the lyrics so the instruments are not overpowering the vocals. This song embodies a lot of emotion and passion as it makes me feel as if the women is running after a guy trying to get his love and affection. "Dead End Street," in this song the music and vocals have dramatically changed to a more serious tone as if this was the end and there was no going back for any of them.
My overall thoughts on the album are as soon as I listened to the first song I knew it was going to be a fun filled 80's party vibe album which got me captivated and wanting to listen to more. The music, lyrics, and instruments played are all very intertwined together and play in synchronicity. As this is my first album review this album has really got me interested in doing a lot more as I took a liking to Chez Kane instantly.
