Crossroads
Amplified Hate
Metal maniacs, rejoice! I'm proud to present to you: AMPLIFIED HATE; signed via Deafground Records, hailing from the glory of Germany - performing a mix of Punk/Thrash/Hardcore, on their 2nd album entitled "Crossroads". (Released 30th of June 2017).
Since their debut album entitled, "A New Chapter" (released 8th July, 2013), the quintet in question have 2 albums ahead of them. I'm introduced to their latest deliverance - "Crossroads", incorporating a solid slab of intricately designed Punk/Thrash/Hardcore amalgamations – the quartet provide hard-hitting and at times melodic distinctions, compiled with an enlightening experience. 12 tracks ranging at around 28:59, AMPLIFIED HATE flourish with fulfilling attributes that is delightfully relentless and stimulating to boot. "Reset" opens up the record with a sinister riff which explodes with glass smashing drumming and chugging guitars until vocalist Wetty lays down the law with mid-paced singing adroitness and harmonic executions. This is a very short record in the same vein of SLAYER's "Reign In Blood" or DEPRAVED PLAGUE's "Systemic"; thankfully the record is easily memorable – just as those 2 are.
Consisting of dexterous duo Chris and Sebi on guitar, the collective pair construct menacing melodies in which are in similar characteristics to that of bands like HATEBREED - for influential sake. This is abundantly evident in the song "State Of Mind", showcasing seamlessly complex indifferences from aforementioned band and plentiful galloping loops that are consistently sufficient in the manifestations implemented - also compiled are immense thrashing elements in which are monstrously magnificent. "Cold Black Heart" supplies with more savagely crushing pulverizations from drummer Maexx, who hastily intensifies his pedals and sticks with fierce force. This is where the Hardcore sub-genre components come into play, with its melodic orchestrations and a grandiose of efficiently effective progressive technicalities that make this listen worth discovering - the Punk aesthetic is also well noticed within this portion of the record.
"Reap What You Sow" has a similar substance with its brutally massive pummeling from bassist Flo who persistently delivers more unprecedented sound production nimbleness, "Rockets" has a more cohesively songwriting process with its ambient introduction and harmonic balances - one of the most memorable songs, while "The New Me" contributed more groovy cords both vocally and instrumentally. "Lie After Lie" furiously impacts you with more diligent craftsmanship, the Punk/Thrash/Hardcore motives are well combined with head banging malice. "Comeback" excels with more head swinging and pounding malevolence, significantly powered with sing a long chorus' and strength. "Father's Anthem" begins with an interesting anthem that's far from Metal, hence the skip to more elegant extremity. This one is filled with punch line grooves, with aforementioned flavor and is all round fluid and admirably welcoming.
Overall concluding "Crossroads" with "Alpine", "CCC" & "Ihr Seid Nicht Das Volk" - AMPLIFIED HATE established a well distributed formula of proficient musicianship while being prominently dominant in the process.
Fans of HATEBREED should get on this record, right now!
